SlimBoat is an internet web browser which uses the QtWebKit and introduces a few various improvements.
At the very core of SlimBoat browser is its reliance on the Webkit engine similar to other browsers such as Safari and Google Chrome, although Chrome has recently forked away.
While it is based on the same technology as Google Chrome, SlimBoat introduces a few different security improves such as an ad block and a content blocker which disables certain Java or Flash components. It can also be configured to delete cookies and Internet history which keeps you safe(r) from tracking.
Some other features which SlimBoat offers is the ability to post directly to Facebook from your browser, view local weather informaton, a shortcut to Google Translator and a user agent switcher to browse the web identifying yourself as an alternate browser (like a mobile phone or iPad).
SlimBoat is not completely impressive and doesn't really offer too much in the form of new features when you look at the many other browsers on the market, but it does certainly offer a different setup and some features many users will appreciate.SlimBoat features and highlights:
